Admissions

This page contains the download link for our application form.  Before you download the form, please read through the information below, which outlines the entire application process.

Our application form can be downloaded using the link below.  Alternatively, our form can be collected from our Administration Offices at, 62 Livingstone Road, Suburbs, Bulawayo.

The application form contains instructions and must be filled out in full with attached copies of:

  • Daughter’s Birth Certificate;
  • Daughter’s latest school report;
  • Results of any external examinations;
  • 1 passport-sized photograph;
  • Copies of Identity Documents for Parents and/or Guardians.

Without these, your daughter’s registration cannot be processed.  There is a registration fee; please enquire with our Payments Office when you submit your application.  Please note, this form is an enrolment application, it does not guarantee a place at Girls’ College.

The last section on our application form must be filled out for us to contact your previous school for a reference.

For those who have applied for Form One, another form will be emailed to you asking you to confirm your 'School of First Choice'.  If you select Girls' College for your daughter(s), this form must be returned to our offices no later than the date stipulated there-in.  Included in this form will be a letter providing you with all the necessary details regarding the assessment test mandated by CHISZ (Conference of Heads of Independent Schools in Zimbabwe).

The assessment test is written on the same day for all private secondary schools in Zimbabwe, which is normally the first Saturday in July.  The examination usually begins at 7:45 am, so your daughter(s) must be present by no later than 7:15 am.

With approximately 100 seats available and with more than 100 girls typically writing the entrance examination, a selection process begins and concludes shortly after the test.  If your daughter is selected, an acceptance form and letter will be sent to you by the middle of July.

At this point it should be noted that if your daughter(s) pass the assessment and is selected, you will be expected to pay a non-refundable Acceptance Fee, once you fill in and deliver to us the Acceptance Form, to be paid no later than the end of August.  Please note that this is a one-off fee and does not include any school fees.

If you are offered a place at Girls’ College and decide to accept you will need to fill in the acceptance form and return it to Girls' College with the non-refundable Acceptance Fee before your daughter(s) commencing at the school.

For enquiries about the application process, the Registration and Acceptance Fees, our current term tuition and boarding fees, please contact us directly, as these are subject to change from time to time.

We hope the above information makes the application process clearer.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the College at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
