This section provides a textual description of the school uniform for both summer and winter. In addition this section describes the school's rules regards the wearing of the uniform. The section will be divided into the summer uniform and winter uniform :-
Girls' College divides the school's summer uniform into a uniform for the junior Forms and one for the senior Forms. This is intended to differentiate junior pupils from senior pupils, both internally at school and externally for the general puplic.
The summer uniform worn by junior pupils, for everyday wear purposes, consists of a blouse, skirt, jersey (optional), socks and shoes. The blouse is striped red, white and blue and has short sleeves with side slits, a revers collar and buttons down the front. The knee length skirt is royal blue in colour with a waistband and a centre-back zip. The optional-to-wear jersey is a red V-necked cardigan. The jersey must be the correct school red in colour, unpatterned and have no collar or round neck. Socks must be white in colour and ankle length. School shoes must be black of the lace-up or T-strap variety. No sandal style shoes are permitted.
The summer uniform worn by senior pupils consists of the same items as those worn by junior pupils, but with a different style blouse and jersey. The blouse must be white poly cotton with a revers collar, buttons down the front, and short sleeves with side slits. The blouse must have a school badge on the front left-hand side. Like junior pupils the skirt is royal blue with a centre-back zip and knee length in height. The optional-to-wear jersey is also a V-necked cardigan, but white in colour. Again, the jersey must be unpatterned without a collar or round neck. Socks and shoes for the senior Forms follows the same styling as those for the junior Forms. Forms four and above have the additional option of wearing stockings instead of the ankle length white socks, if they prefer. However, stockings must be plain and beige coloured. If a senior Form pupil happens to be a school prefect, the summer uniform differs from other senior pupils in one aspect. Instead of a white blouse, prefects wear a light blue blouse. However, the blouse style remains the same as the white blouse worn by other senior students.
If any pupil is attending a school event or representing Girls' College the summer uniform must be accompanied by the school blazer. The school blazer is royal blue in colour with long sleeves, a revers collar, and has three pockets. Two pockets at the waist on the left and right-hand sides with a breast pocket on the left-hand side. The school blazer for prefects differs in that it is edged with light blue ribbon material. Additional blue ribbon material encircles the sleeve cuff.
As with the summer uniform, Girls' College divides the school's winter uniform into a uniform for the junior Forms and one for the senior Forms.
The winter uniform worn by junior pupils, for everyday wear purposes, consists of a blouse; skirt or optional winter trousers; cardigan, optional anorak; optional scarve and gloves; socks and shoes. The blouse is striped red, white and blue and has long sleeves, a revers collar and buttons down the front. The collar for the winter blouse diifers from the summer blouse in that it has a high round neck with a roll collar forming a self-tie. The blue skirt is the same skirt worn during summer. The optional-to-wear winter trousers are navy blue in colour with side pockets. The cardigan is the same cardigan which can be worn during summer. The optional-to-wear anorak or jacket is powder blue in colour. Navy blue scarves may be worn along with plain gloves in a blue colour. Winter socks must be navy blue in colour and knee length. School shoes are as for summer.
The winter uniform worn by senior pupils consists of the same items as those worn by junior pupils, but with a different colour blouse and cardigan. The winter blouse is white poly cotton and in the same style as the winter blouse for junior students. The skirt is as for summer and the optional winter trousers are the same as those for junior students. The cardigan is as for summer. Senior students wear the same style anorak as junior pupils. Socks and shoes for the senior Forms follows the same styling as those for the junior Forms. Again, Forms four and above have the additional option of wearing stockings instead of the knee length winter socks. If a senior Form pupil happens to be a school prefect, the winter blouse is light blue in colour and must be worn with a school tie and thus does not have the roll collar with self-tie.
As for the summer uniform, any pupil attending a school event or representing Girls' College in winter must wear the school blazer with their winter uniform. For special occasions, whether during winter or summer, the full winter uniform with blazer becomes the default school dress uniform.
