Girls' College Student Attends Level 3 Gala In South Africa

Girls' College Riana Rollo took part in a Level Three swimming gala in Johannesburg at the end of March 2017.

She won 3 medals, 2 Silver for the 50m Backstroke and 100m Freestyle and a Gold for the 50m Freestyle.

Her quote about the trip was "What inspired me was watching the disability race. The kids are so fast. The one guy had no arms and legs and he broke a national record".

Girls' College Student Consultation With Macpherson Consultants

Girls' College is excited to be hosting Judi Ward and other consultants from Macpherson on Wednesday 29 March 2017. Here to discuss careers and university options, this open consultation is for all Form 4 to Upper Six students and their parents.

Judi Ward and the others plan to hold their sessions in the school library from 8:00am to 4:30pm and students can book their timeslot with Girls' College staff member Mrs O. Sibanda.

Rotary Public Speaking

Mutsavashe Kasipo was chosen as a finalist in the Rotary Public Speaking Competition held on Friday. She, together with nine other students, will battle it out on 10th March 2017 at the Bulawayo Theatre.

Girls' College Inter-House Singing Competition 2017

Girls' College will once again be hosting our popular Inter-House Singing Competition in the Ross Fuller School Hall this term. This year's competition will feature music from The Beatles.

Tickets cost only $7.00 and include snacks. A cash bar will be open from 5:00pm with the singing starting at 6:00pm. Enquiries and tickets available at the school front office (09-258118).

Girls' College Wins The Finals Gala At The Les Brown Pool In Harare!

On Saturday 25 February 2017 the Girls' College swimming team competed in The Finals Gala hosted at the Les Brown Pool in Harare.

The Girls' College swimming team travelled to Harare to participate in the Finals Gala this past weekend at the Les Brown Pool. The competition amongst the top 7 swimming schools was very intense, with Chisipite and Girls' College remaining a few points apart for the whole gala.

The final results were greeted with shrieks of delight from the jubilant Girls' College swimming team as it was announced that they had won the Cathy Fogaty Trophy for Individual Points for the first time since 2002, and even louder cheers when they were crowned as the swimming champions for 2017 by winning the Jones And Blakeway Trophy for Overall Points.

Our Galleries Updated With Photos Taken At The Academic Awards Assembly 2017

We are pleased to inform our visitors that Girls' College has updated our school galleries with photos taken during the 2017 Academic Awards Assembly which took place in the school's Ross Fuller Hall on Thursday 16 February 2017. Southern Sections Swimming Gala Results For 11 February

On Saturday 11 February 2017 the Girls' College A & B swimming teams travelled to the recently refurbished Bulawayo City Pool as defending champions for the 2017 Southern Sections Gala. Other schools which were in attendance were Midlands Christian College, Bulawayo Dominican Convent and Petra High School. Well done to both of our swimming teams who performed splendidly and helped us to retain all three trophies for yet another year!
